Don’t Wait for the Rabbit… Create Your Own Path
Morning Reflection:
Success does not come by chance… and what comes by chance does not last. Do not wait for opportunities—create them with your own hands.
Evening Reflection:
The following story carries a deep meaning that aligns with Aristotle’s wisdom: a person’s life is not built on chance, but on awareness and continuous effort. Life does not reward those who wait, nor does it favor laziness—it opens its doors to those who take initiative and knock with determination.
It is said that a lazy farmer used to spend his days sleeping in his field, neither working nor striving. One day, he saw a small rabbit running away from a wolf. Out of fear, the rabbit suddenly crashed into a tree and died. Before the wolf could reach it, the farmer took the rabbit home, cooked its meat, sold its fur, and made some money.
The farmer was delighted by this “opportunity” and assumed life would repeat this luck for him. So he abandoned his work, neglected his land, and decided to wait for another rabbit to run into the tree. But of course, it never happened… because the first time was nothing more than a coincidence, not something to rely on.
As days passed, his crops dried up, his efforts were lost, and he eventually suffered hunger and loss.
The story is simple, yet its meaning is profound: those who rely on chance lose when it disappears, but those who rely on effort remain standing—even when results are delayed.
Real opportunities are not waited for—they are created. Success is not given—it is built step by step. Life does not give you what you wish for, but what you work for.
In the end, do not be like the farmer who waited for luck… be among those who plant, for those who plant today… harvest tomorrow.
